Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month and  October 28 is Pastor and Family Appreciation Sunday. For the last three years, Pastor Wayne and his family have faithfully served the Lord, the church and our members in many ways.  We encourage you to express your gratitude for the leadership, meaningful sermons,  Bible study and hard work and love our pastor has brought to us.  Take time to personally thank him for how he has helped you grow in your walk with the Lord. Mark your calendar to be present on October 28 to worship, fill the sanctuary, and show our appreciation to him and his family.

Janie Chapman Offering

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) challenges us to “go and tell.”  As we think about where to go and whom to tell, we must take a 3D approach to effectively spread the gospel by using DISCERNMENT to gain an understanding of the needs of the people group we want to reach, embracing the DIVERSITY of the people group and take any  cultural differences into consideration when planning to share the gospel in a respectful way, and developing a DISCIPLESHIP plan so that new believers can grow in their knowledge of God’s love.  As we SEND workers to assess the need, SHARE our beliefs with other people groups, START new congregations of believers, and STRENGTHEN   existing work with people groups, we are fulfilling God’s plan to reach all nations.  Pray that each family member will be willing to pray for our state missionaries and sacrifice a family outing for missions to help the many people groups in South Carolina come to know Jesus.  Our Janie Chapman Offering goal is $2,250.

Mission Action Projects

The Pilgrim’s Inn in Rock Hill offers assistance to homeless women and children by providing food, temporary housing and childcare.  We would like to support this ministry by collecting the following items:  cleaning supplies (all-purpose cleaners, bathroom  cleansers, laundry detergents & dishwashing detergent, etc.) and paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.).

We are also collecting rolls of breath mints/ life savers for the prisoner packets.

You may put donations in the blue box in the hallway.

Thank you for supporting our Mission Action Projects!
